2008 Playground Builds
In partnership with national non-profit KaBOOM! and 3,000 community volunteers, CaliforniaVolunteers constructed 10 playgrounds across California that honor the legacy and values of Cesar E. Chavez.

2007 Playground Builds
More than 2,500 community volunteers participated in the play space builds, which included a mural celebrating the life and legacy of Cesar E. Chavez, an educational component for local children and the planting of an edible garden.
